After losing 80 pounds, I went to my PCP who recommended Dr. Nadeau. She told me Dr. Nadeau was amazing, and that she would help me with the next step of my journey, which was a breast reduction. After meeting Dr. Nadeau, there was no question for me. I knew right away that I wanted her to be my surgeon. She was so knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable. She understood exactly how much this surgery would mean to me, and took me through what the process was, step by step. She showed me results from her other reduction surgeries, and the results were beautiful.

I have had large breasts since I was 13 years old. Each year they grew and grew. By the time I had my first child at 18 years old, they were an H cup. Over the years, as I gained more weight, they continued to grow. At my highest weight, my breasts were a J or K cup. I’ve been a plus-size woman my entire adult life, and when I started looking into getting a breast reduction, I learned I would have to lose 100 pounds. After 7 years, another child, 2 years of breastfeeding and finally being able to lose all of the weight through weight loss surgery, I knew it was finally time to move forward with getting my reduction.

My surgery was so easy! I had assumed I would be bedridden for a month and unable to do anything, as I was altering my entire chest. While I had uncomfortable moments, I had zero pain. I was walking around shortly after surgery and was able to move my arms with no issues at all. I had to remind myself to take it easy and accept the help I had in place to make sure I continued to heal. I kept waiting for the pain to come or something to happen that would limit me, but that never happened. It was easier than any other procedure I’ve had done.

I had fears that the end result would not be what I wanted. I was worried my breasts wouldn’t be “pretty.” I was also worried that my insurance would deny me. Dr. Nadeau and Gentry were so both so patient with me during the entire process. I was originally going to wait until I reached my goal weight to have the surgery, but I asked to have the process expedited. No questions asked, Gentry had me visit Dr. Nadeau again. We went over my sizing concerns and all of my additional questions. The team submitted my case to insurance and I was approved in 2 days!

For the first time that I can remember I am pain-free! My back doesn’t hurt, I can run and work out without my chest feeling heavy. I can go on a long walk and my back doesn’t hurt for days after. My posture was almost automatically corrected. My confidence is through the roof! I rarely wear a bra, and my clothes always look great now. While it may sound vain, I absolutely love how I look! I am no longer “the girl with big boobs.” I am just me, no longer defined by my chest. This surgery has given me a chance to live a full life.

Dr. Nadeau gave me breasts that look so natural and cute. They are perfect for my body, and exactly what I had envisioned for myself. I remember asking her for a B cup. She told me, that was not what I wanted. I remember thinking, of course, that’s what I want! After having enormous breasts my whole life, all I knew was I wanted something much smaller. But, my vision was skewed and Dr. Nadeau understood that. She knew what I wanted, even when I didn’t. She understood my vision. She is an artist and she knew how to keep my hourglass shape and make my dream come to fruition.

The entire staff was amazing. Everyone I interacted with was so kind and patient. They each went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and knowledgeable with the insurance process, the preop and post-op process, and the actual surgery. To everyone who helped me, I want to say thank you. Thank you for giving me my life back. Thank you for making it possible to look in the mirror and actually like what I’m looking at.
